The Local Development Scheme, or LDS, provides the starting point for the local community and other interested parties to find out what Local Development Documents are going to be produced, together with a programme for their preparation.
In effect, the Local Development Scheme is a timetable of events over the next three years for the preparation of LDF documents.
The Council submitted its second Local Development Scheme, for the period 2007 - 2010 to the Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber at the end of March 2007. The Scheme was approved by Government Office and Adopted by the Council's Policy Committee on 5th September 2007.
The 2007 - 2010 LDS is available for public inspection via the link below, and at Council Offices during normal office hours.
The 2007 LDS is now out-of-date due to slippage in work progress. The Council is now looking to review and roll forward the LDS. Meanwhile the latest position in preparing all the LDF documents can be found in the LDF Update Note, which is updated each month. This provides a round-up of all the LDF documents we have prepared or that are under preparation.
